The Personality

[/b][/font] Yui has a pretty loud personality. She loves to have fun and loves to play sports. Even though she is a singer along with her sister, her dream is to become an Olympian gymnast for Japan. She likes to sing but isn't horribly interested in it enough to do it for a living, and wants to move on from it. Yui is extremely friendly and is bound to try and befriend anyone who comes near her. She can be rather naive most of the time, though, and is very gullible.
APPEARANCE: Commonly when outside school, Yui can be found wearing rather tomboyish clothes, and anything easy to play in. She obviously wears her school uniform when necessary but hates it and as soon as she's able, she'll change out of it. Yui has straight bangs that are usually parted to the side and long dark hair that reaches about to the middle of her back, perhaps a tad shorter. It is naturally a bit curly or wavy, and sometimes she'll straighten it. She has a small build and is shorter than her sister even though she's the older of the two twins, standing at only five feet and one inch.
OTHER: Yui is skilled in martial arts and gymnastics, which she's done as a hobby for as long as she can remember. She's very agile and does well in sports.[/ul]

The Story

[/b][/font] Her twin sister, Yumi. She lives with her parents (her father's an actor, her mother's a singer) and visits her grandmother along with her sister during the summers. Her grandmother is a singer as well.
HISTORY: Yui was born the older of the two Minase twins, but even so, she was always the more free spirited and childish of the two. Their grandmother always believed that the Minase women were gifted with the ability to sing, and so ever since they were able they were trained relentlessly in singing. Yui, unlike her sister who took it seriously, was always skipping out on her singing classes to pursue her own interests, which lie in martial arts and gymnastics. She always enjoyed singing of course, and did well in their performances which started when they were about seven years old, but never got into it as much as Yumi did.

Yui, always being the more outgoing of the two, had no problem adjusting to life at Ouran once they were sent there amongst many other students. That is where they are now. They still study music more often than Yui would like, but as Yui's dream is to become an Olympic gymnast, she is often training for that or playing sports and doing other things (all, of course, without her grandmother's or mother's permission).[/ul]
